Flashback Friday at GoodnightRaleigh brought us a fun historical postcard from Hillsborough Street. But, addtionally, they also gave us a fantastic link to the renderings of the Alfred Williams renovation in Downtown Raleigh.
"This is an example of a white border ’linen’ postcard, a type popular from the 1930s through the 1940s. It was published by Alfred Williams & Co., a long-established Raleigh book and stationery store. The company is still in business, and is currently renovating a building downtown as its corporate HQ and showroom."
