Free NC Symphony Concert Sunday at The Walt

The NC Symphony is kicking off its season with a free concert at The Walt!

"The North Carolina Symphony kicks off the 2011-2012 performance season Sunday with a free concert at the Raleigh Amphitheatre.

Maestro William Henry Curry will conduct works by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky (Swan Lake), contemporary selections by John Williams (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera) as well as all-American marches by W.C. Handy and John Philip Sousa.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m."
